MARY HARDY
Artist's Statement My working process seems to be a conversation with myself, my innerness. It is a constant search, an excavation. This "digging" lends itself therefore to the mixed media process that I use of layering drawing, painting and collage materials. My subject matter is derived from this personal searching as all Art has done since the beginning of time. I therefore use universal, archetypal symbols to engage the viewer and encourage them to look through the layers and discover a story of their own.
