Ron Lindsey
Born in Meridian, Mississippi, Ron Lindsey, has lived in Clinton, MS since 1962. He graduated from Mississippi College in 1978 with a BS in Education. He received the Bellaman award for Art and Creative Writing.
Since an early apprenticeship with Karl and Mildred Wolfe, he has been exhibiting his work in the Jackson area.
Ron has done numerous streetscapes of Vicksburg over the past decade. He is attracted to Vicksburg as subject for his paintings because of the unique topography of the "Hill City."
In 1995 he was commissioned by McCarty Holman Foods to execute twenty-two 6'x10' paintings for a store in Horn Lake, MS.
In 1996, Lindsey appeared in the Warner Brother's film, "A Time to Kill" and also executed the courtroom drawings for that movie.
Lindsey also works in clay and is a member of the Craftsman's Guild of Mississippi. |
